I joined a delegation of Ukrainian Jews that came to Siret to clean the Jewish cemeteries. During our stay in Siret we went to the old Jewish synagogue to hold a prayer.
There are no Jews in Siret and the synagogue stays closed with the key held by a local non-Jewish lady.
The original old beautiful Aron Hakodesh that was in this synagogue was smuggled to Israel and replaced by a simple Aron Kodesh that can be seen in the pictures below.
